Onside Fund Gaming
ONSIDEGAMING has just name Ohio Youth Development's Gyrlz II Women as a 2022 Grant recipient. Our girls ages 9 -17 are now able to compete in EA Sports and ONSIDE GAMING supports our females in illustrating that it's not about being a male or female but about skilled plays who respect gaming and advance EA for everyone. The Columbus Foundation supports Ohio Youth Development's Havenwood International Community Garden as we seek to education community youth on nutritional food choices. Children will assist in offering fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetable options to residents as produce supplies has decreased and prices have increased.
State Farm's In-kind donations of 25 Dell laptops are significant to Ohio Youth Development's ability to offer children access to technology in STEAM coding and gaming. Children who otherwise would be left out of the fast-advancing Technology VR world and will now have a foot in the VR, coding, and gaming door.
Kiwanis Hilltop on Columbus Westside donates 5 Chromebooks to support OYD After-school Enrichment Beyond the Classroom. Participants from K-8th grade are able to engage in online reading and mathematics enrichment by using educational apps.
Little Free Library
The Little Free Library donation has great implications on the Havenwood community, The new Havenwood Little Free Library especially impacts children because there is not a public library within walking distance.
Sam's Club has supported Ohio Youth Development After-school Healthy Cooking activities for the past two years. With Sam's Club support we are able to provide children with opportunities to choose and cook healthy snacks on Tuesday in addition to daily after-school snacks on other after-school day. We look forward to continually advancing toward our goal of quality food equity for all children.
Whole Kids Foundation
Whole Kids Foundation support Havenwood International Community Garden's Nutrition and Food Sustainable Education for children in grades K-5th grade. Children learn to change family cycle from food insecurities by gaining food sovereignty knowledge, and becoming steward of the land.
Ohio Division of Wildlife supports Ohio Youth Development's "Fish On" Beginning May 7th the youth fishing program for children 10 - 17. "Fish On" is a 7-week activity that will be held on Saturday's (TBA).
