ABOUT

 

Ohio Youth Development (OYDKids) was structured as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in August 2014. Founders Janine Lovelace and Cheryl Hython begin providing youth services in 2013 in Steubenville Ohio, partnering with the local North 6th Street Church, which served as OYD's fiscal organization, and Urban Mission to offer community youth tutoring, activities, and healthy-cooking. In the summer of 2015, we continued to provide healthy cooking activities in Columbus, Ohio at Schiller Recreation Center. Today we are partnering with First Communities Property Management. Our partner's support has afforded us to provide school-age children living in Columbus, Ohio's underserved communities, with afterschool and summer programming for school-age children.

Child Safety - COVID -19 Update 
Visitors are not allowed Designated COVID-19 Supervisor/Contact Person responsible for responding to COVID-19 concerns. Staff will be trained on COVID-19 protocols and procedures.
Staff will provide participants with an orientation at the start of the program to review new COVID-19 protocols, encourage, and educate on reporting of symptoms, not coming to program if sick.
