The Reading Raiders program, in partnership with Central Ohio United Way, OYD uses AI technology to enhance K-5TH grade children's reading skills for early literacy success

  • Students will practice reading, comprehension, and writing skills. 

  • Students will learn AI through immersive learning.

  • Students will learn about food sustainability, and community gardening.

  • Student will practice emotional learning techniques.

Janine Lovelace

Position/Chair

Ms. Lovelace is a  dedicated President of Ohio Youth Development, with a BS in Communications and an MBA. With a deep passion for empowering children, she has committed her life to supporting youth from all backgrounds, particularly those in underserved communities.

Cheryl Hython

Position/Secretary

Ms. Hython serves as Secretary of Ohio Youth Development, with a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology, and Psychology and with more than two decades of coach, youth mentor, and management of youth development programming.  Ms. Hython plays a vital role in  maintaining transparency, compliance, and continuity in OYD’s mission-driven work.

Lirec Williams

Position / Vice-President

Mr. Williams, Vice President of Ohio Youth Development, with a Marketing Degree and MBA, he plays a key role in advancing programs that focus on youth empowerment through education, technology, and wellness. His dedication to breaking down barriers to youth development eco-system that are important to youth success in after-school and summer programs across the Columbus community."

Janee  Jenkins

Position /Member

Janee Jenkins brings her expertise as a strategic leader and advocate to Ohio Youth Development’s Board. She oversees funding and outcome management for the Community Transition Program, she has extensive program development and management skills. Her role includes managing complex, collaborative projects with attention to scope, budget, and high-quality deliverables, ensuring impactful results.

Nicole Bishop

Position / Member

Nicole Bishop, a dedicated board member and Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree, applies her healthcare expertise and community dedication to Ohio Youth Development. With a strong commitment to youth and community wellness, Nicole brings a unique perspective that enriches board decisions and advocacy efforts for OYD’s mission."
